Brief, in plain text
This document explains what personal information MountPilot ("we," "our") receives when you file a job brief, request a quote, or browse mountpilot.online — and what we do with it. The operating principle: collect only what's required to run a dispatch, no more.
If you'd rather ask a question directly, send it to control@mountpilot.online and one of the crew leads will respond.
Information we collect
Limited to operational needs:
- Contact details: the name, email, and (if you choose to share it) phone number submitted through the brief form or in subsequent correspondence.
- Brief content: wall type, TV model and size, photos of the installation location, room context, and timing preferences — used to calibrate the scope.
- Service address: shared after the slot is booked, used to dispatch the crew to the correct location.
- Payment data: handled by our third-party processor at job completion. Card numbers are not stored on our systems.
- Site analytics: aggregated, anonymous usage data about pages visited, regions of origin, and device types. See Cookies Policy.
How it's used
- Responding to your brief and producing a fixed-scope quote.
- Scheduling and confirming your dispatch window.
- Post-flight follow-up and warranty correspondence.
- Maintaining standard business records for tax and accounting purposes.
We don't use your information for marketing campaigns, we don't sell it, we don't enroll you in newsletters by default.
Who sees it
Sharing is operational, not commercial:
- The crew lead dispatched to your job receives the brief, contact details, and service address.
- Payment processor handles card transactions at completion.
- Scheduling and CRM software stores the dispatch record so we can retrieve it for warranty or follow-up bookings.
- Legal authorities only if compelled by court order, subpoena, or comparable legal process.
Retention
Dispatch records are kept for the duration of your relationship with MountPilot plus a reasonable period — typically two to four years — to honor warranty claims, re-quote follow-on work, and meet financial record-keeping obligations. Installation photos on crew devices are wiped after job completion; any kept for portfolio reference are reviewed annually.
Your rights
You can request, at any time, to:
- See the information we hold about you.
- Correct anything inaccurate or stale.
- Delete your record, subject to legal retention requirements.
- Withdraw consent to future communications.
Send a request to control@mountpilot.online. Responses typically processed within 14 days.
Security
We take reasonable measures to safeguard data — encrypted communication with our scheduling provider, password-managed devices, restricted access to records. We're a small operation with a small attack surface, and we treat the data accordingly.
Children
Our services are arranged by adults for installations in their own homes or businesses. We don't knowingly collect data from individuals under 18. If you believe a minor submitted personal information through our forms, notify us and we'll remove it.
Changes to this protocol
Updates to this document are posted here with a revised "Last revised" date. Material changes — new categories of data, new processors — are flagged at the top of this page for at least 30 days.
